Consulting is one of the most misunderstood terms in Kenya. There is an important difference between a Project Management Consultant and a Project Management Contractor. Managing projects for a client does not make you a consultant. You are actually a contractor.
As a consultant you use your expertise to help your client set himself up for success in project management. This means you should be willing to mentor, coach and guide them and do solid patient one-on-one work.
