It is now widely recognized that Project Managers are the missing link to strategy implementation. However this requires experienced project managers with change management skills, since strategy implementation projects require high level people skills and the willingness to get involved with people on all levels. You need everyone's buy-in for true success, so don't leave the stakeholder engagement to others.
