Virtual and agile actually do seem to be an oxymoron at first. However it is possible to have a virtual agile team. As we explore this topic this week, let's remind ourselves of what is necessary to handle a virtual team in general.
You definitely have to rev up the communication, both in quality and quantity. Over communicate. Have set meeting times, for the agile environment, this will be several times daily. Use a virtual conferencing tool, that all are comfortable with, or combine two. For example I have had many meetings, where we talked on phone - hands-free speaker on - while collaborating on a google sheet.
If you use screen-share, then the person sharing and subsequently writing, needs to be instructed well by the others.
